Opera…from a Sistah’s Point of View

Cincinnati Opera and Opera Birmingham’s co-production of Angela’s signature concert with the mission to help everyone find themselves in opera hits the internet January 29. Joining Angela are rising stars: soprano Victoria Okafor, mezzo-soprano Briana Hunter, tenor Jamez McCorkle, baritone Reginald Smith, Jr., and pianist extraordinaire Marie-France Lefebvre. Hear arias, duets, and scenes, as well as important works by Black composers, all narrated from Angela’s perspective and recorded at the beautiful Monastery Event Center in Cincinnati.

Florida Grand Opera presents LIVE Opera…from a Sistah’s Point of View featuring three rising Black opera stars of the FGO Young Artist Program – soprano Amanda Sheriff, countertenor Key’mon Murrah, baritone Angel Refusé – and pianist Jared Peroune. Hear arias, duets, and scenes, as well as important works by Black composers, all narrated from Angela’s perspective at the historic Hampton House in Miami. Get tickets ASAP.
